ITAD, Data Destruction & Electronics Recycling in Boston and New England
USACA serves Boston, Cambridge and organizations across New England with IT asset disposition, secure data destruction, electronics recycling and equipment value recovery. This is a service area, not a USACA office or facility. Equipment is collected under documented chain of custody and processed at USACA facilities, where data-bearing media is destroyed by industrial shredding, with degaussing for magnetic media where required.

Greater Boston concentrates biotech and life-sciences companies (Cambridge, the Seaport, Waltham and Lexington), major universities and teaching hospitals, and asset-management and insurance firms. These organizations retire research workstations, high-performance compute, lab instrument PCs and storage — often holding sensitive research, patient or financial data.
The Route 128 / I-495 belt carries established technology, defense-electronics and semiconductor-equipment companies, which generate server, networking and component surplus that can carry resale value.
Higher-education and hospital IT often run on fiscal-year refresh cycles; planning collections around semester and budget calendars helps avoid storage backlogs.
Organizations with surplus servers, networking, storage, CPUs, GPUs, memory or enterprise SSDs can also request an equipment valuation through USACA's Hardware Systems and Semiconductor & Microelectronics divisions. Valuation and purchase depend on model, specification, quantity, condition, location and current market demand — USACA does not purchase every asset.

Pickups reviewed and confirmed
Commercial pickups start at one skid. Every request is reviewed by USACA, and timing, packaging and any cost are confirmed in writing before collection — pickup is not assumed to be free.

Documentation your auditors will accept.
Serialized reporting and Certificate of Destruction
Every data-bearing device is recorded by serial number, and a Certificate of Destruction is issued once media has been destroyed at a USACA facility. Photo or video evidence of destruction is available on request when arranged in advance.
Certified processing
Processing runs under R2v3, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certified procedures, with downstream material reporting available for environmental and audit records.
