Equipment is collected under documented chain of custody and processed at USACA facilities, where data-bearing media is destroyed by industrial shredding, with degaussing for magnetic media where required.

St. Louis has a large financial-services and brokerage employer base, major hospital systems and university research, plus federal geospatial and defense-related activity. These buyers retire workstation fleets, server rooms and storage under strict data-handling policies, so every drive is serialized and destroyed at a USACA facility.

Every data-bearing device is recorded by serial number, and a Certificate of Destruction is issued once media has been destroyed at a USACA facility. Photo or video evidence of destruction is available on request when arranged in advance.

Processing runs under R2v3, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certified procedures, with downstream material reporting available for environmental and audit records.
